Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Nana Patekar Remembers Working with ‘Exceptional’ Madhuri Dixit in Wajood; Shares How ‘Kaise Main..’ Poem is Always in His Memory
This Friday, on December 13, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 will get extra special as Nana Patekar joins Amitabh Bachchan on the hot seat. The veteran Bollywood actor will open up about his experiences, including working with the legendary Madhuri Dixit in the movie Wajood.
During the episode, an audience member asks Nana about his time working with Madhuri in Wajood. Nana recalls those moments with great fondness and admiration. He calls Madhuri an “exceptional actress” who is “beautiful, an incredible dancer, and as an actress, she had everything one could ask for.” He also praises her as a “wonderful person.”
The conversation takes an interesting turn when Nana is asked about a poem he recited to Madhuri in the film. Nana reveals that the famous verse, “Kaise main batau tumhe..,” was written by the well-known poet Javed Akhtar. He says the poem has stayed in his memory, largely because of Madhuri’s presence. “Even today, it feels like it’s running in my blood whenever someone asks about it. It brings back so many memories,” Nana shares.
In a lighter moment, Nana also recalls a backstage chat with Amitabh Bachchan. He jokingly asked the superstar why he worked so hard, suggesting that Mr. Bachchan take a break and spend a week in the village. In reply, Amitabh Bachchan shared that he works 12 hours a day, leaving Nana in awe of his dedication.
In this special episode, Nana will be joined by his fellow cast members from Vanvaas, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur. Writer-director Anil Kumar will also be present to promote the film. Nana will play the game on behalf of an NGO focused on preventing farmer suicides, aiming to raise much-needed funds.
