Navjot Singh Sidhu Remembers When People Said Kapil Sharma’s Career Was Over
Navjot Singh Sidhu, who will appear in an upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, recently spoke about the tough times Kapil Sharma went through in his career.
In a conversation on The Grain Talk Show, Sidhu shared that many people thought Kapil’s career was over at one point, but he always believed in Kapil’s talent. He said, “When Kapil was not well and going through a tough time, people told me he was finished.” However, Sidhu never doubted Kapil’s abilities, adding, “You don’t find a genius like him. Talent does what it can do; genius does what he must do.”
Sidhu, who was part of The Kapil Sharma Show since 2013 but left in 2019, also expressed his desire to reunite with the original cast of the show. He mentioned meeting Sunil Grover, who played Gutthi, and praised him as a comedic genius. Sidhu said, “Gutthi (Sunil Grover) is back. I met him in Goa, and he is amazing. He comes for 10-15 minutes, entertains everyone, and he is a genius.”
Sidhu also talked about other cast members like Ali Asgar, who played dadi, and expressed his wish for everyone to come together again.
For those who may not know, Sidhu left The Kapil Sharma Show in 2019, and there were rumors that he was replaced after making controversial comments about the Pulwama terror attacks.
Sidhu will appear on The Great Indian Kapil Show this Saturday at 8 PM, along with his wife. The episode will also feature cricketer Harbhajan Singh and his wife, Geeta Basra.
