NCW Takes Action Against Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and Others After They Skip Hearing
The trouble for Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina, and others has worsened after they failed to appear for the hearing issued by the National Commission for Women (NCW).
For those unaware, the NCW had summoned several individuals involved in the India’s Got Latent controversy over obscene remarks made on the show. They were required to attend the hearing on February 17 at 12 PM, but they did not show up.
NCW Reschedules Hearing After Absentees Give Reasons
Since Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, Balraj Ghai, Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra failed to attend, the NCW has decided to reschedule the hearing.
The new hearing dates are:
📅 March 6 – Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra.
📅 March 11 – Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, and Balraj Ghai.
Why Did They Miss the Hearing?
🔹 Ranveer Allahbadia told the NCW that he has been receiving death threats and has requested a new hearing date.
🔹 Apoorva Mukhija also received death threats and requested permission to attend the hearing virtually. Her lawyer stated she would appear once the situation improves.
🔹 Samay Raina is currently on tour in the US and promised to attend once he returns to India.
🔹 Jaspreet Singh and Balraj Ghai are also out of India and assured the commission that they will cooperate after returning.
🔹 Ashish Chanchlani did not attend due to health issues. His lawyer appeared on his behalf and explained that he has been unwell.
🔹 Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra did not respond to the notice and have been ordered to appear.
Cyber Cell’s Action Against Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has denied Samay Raina’s request to record his statement via video conferencing.
Additionally, Ranveer Allahbadia has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell and is required to appear on February 24.
All India’s Got Latent Episodes Removed
Due to the ongoing controversy and backlash, all episodes of India’s Got Latent have been removed from YouTube.
