Neha Harsora, who is currently winning hearts with her performance in Udne Ki Aasha, recently opened up about her journey, dreams, and thoughts on being labeled a “TV actor.” In a candid chat with Pinkvilla, Neha shared how she hopes to work in films someday and revealed the one director she truly wants to work with — Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Neha’s Dream to Work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali
When asked about a filmmaker she’d love to work with, Neha didn’t hesitate.
She said,
“Mujhe toh Sanjay Leela Bhansali ke saath kaam karne ki bohot iccha hai.”
Translation: “I really wish to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”
She explained her reason too:
“He has done amazing work. I believe he is someone who brings out the true actor in people.”
On Being Called a ‘TV Actor’
Many television actors are often tagged as “just TV actors,” which can feel limiting. When asked how she feels about it, Neha gave a very grounded response. She said:
“Maybe this label has a deeper meaning for some people, but I don’t think like that. If I’m a TV actor, I’m proud. I’m working and I’m happy. That’s what really matters to me.”
She also added that she doesn’t believe in comparing herself with others and feels content with what she has achieved so far.
No Specific Plans, Just Open to Good Work
Talking about her future, Neha shared that she doesn’t have a set plan or particular preference for roles. She’s open to doing any project that feels right.
“If I get an opportunity and it feels good and comfortable, I’ll take it. I’m not picky. It’s not about the platform — it’s about the work.”
Would She Do Bigg Boss or Khatron Ke Khiladi?
Neha also shared her honest thoughts about doing reality shows like Bigg Boss or Khatron Ke Khiladi. She laughed and said:
“Bigg Boss is nice, but I don’t like fighting. And when it comes to Khatron Ke Khiladi, I’m a big coward! So I really can’t say if I’d enjoy it or not.”
On Udne Ki Aasha’s Success
Neha stars opposite Kanwar Dhillon in Udne Ki Aasha, and the show has become a big hit. She shared that she simply wanted to prove herself and never expected such massive love from the audience.
“I just wanted to give my best. I never imagined the show would become this popular. I’ve received way more love than I ever expected.”
