Orry Opens Up About Starving Himself to Lose Weight Before Fame: “No One Wants to See a Fat, 5-Foot Boy”
Orhan Awatramani, better known as Orry, recently shared a shocking part of his journey to fame. In a new interview, he revealed that he once starved himself to lose weight, believing that no one would want to see an overweight boy on screen.
“I Starved Myself to Get Famous,” Says Orry
Orry is well-known on social media and is often seen hanging out with Bollywood stars like Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday. While his online life looks fun and glamorous, he admitted that he didn’t reach this point easily.
In a conversation with SCREEN, Orry revealed that in early 2023, he was overweight and weighed over 70 kilos. That’s when he decided he wanted to become famous. But he believed, “You can’t be fat and famous. That’s not how it works. No one wants to see a fat, 5-foot boy walk around on TV.”
To change that, he said he started starving himself. He even shared that some nights he fell asleep sitting on the toilet after throwing up his dinner—a habit that gave him neck pain but helped him lose weight fast.
“It Was Cheating, But It Worked”
Orry openly admitted that what he did was not healthy. “It was cheating, technically, but I did what I had to do to get where I wanted,” he said.
He added that while he supports cheating in life, he doesn’t support it in games. “In a game, if you cheat and win, there’s no real satisfaction. But in life, there is,” Orry said. He even gave examples like using Ozempic to lose weight or taking steroids to build muscle—saying he supports such choices.
“Do What You Gotta Do,” Says Orry
Ending the interview, Orry gave a bold message: “Do what you got to do to get where you want to get.”
Just last month, Orry made headlines again after being booked along with seven others near the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.
