Parth Samthaan’s entry as ACP Ayushman in CID made a lot of noise on social media. Fans were excited to see him return to television after five years. He joined the show following the sudden exit of Shivaji Satam, who played the iconic role of ACP Pradyuman. However, with recent reports of Shivaji Satam’s return, fans started wondering if Parth would continue. In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Parth confirmed that his time on CID is coming to an end.

Speaking to us, Parth said his role was originally meant to be a short one. “It’s been an absolute pleasure to be part of a legendary show like CID, even if just for a short time. I was supposed to appear in a few episodes only as a guest, but the role got extended for a couple of months,” he shared.

He also revealed why he didn’t speak about it earlier. “We couldn’t confirm anything at the start because it would have ruined the suspense of the show. But now, with Shivaji Sir’s return, the mystery about the mole in the team will soon be revealed,” he added.

Parth also mentioned that he has other projects lined up, which is another reason he won’t be staying on the show much longer. “I have other work commitments coming up, so I won’t be continuing for long. But I’m really thankful for all the love and support the audience has given me during this short journey,” he said.

For those who may not know, Parth became a household name after starring in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan. He returned to TV after five years, with his last major role being in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

In CID, he stepped in as ACP Ayushman after ACP Pradyuman was shown to be dead. But now that Shivaji Satam is returning, fans are excited to see the original ACP back on screen.
