Indian Idol 12 Winner Pawandeep Rajan Rushed to Hospital After Serious Car Accident

Singer Pawandeep Rajan, who won Indian Idol 12, was seriously injured in a car accident and was rushed to the hospital early Monday morning. The accident reportedly happened in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Pawandeep, known for his soulful singing and large fanbase, was traveling by car when the accident took place around 3:40 AM on May 5. After the crash, he was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment due to serious injuries.

What Happened to Pawandeep?

As per The Free Press Journal, Pawandeep suffered injuries to his left foot and right arm. Although more details are still coming in, photos on social media show him lying on a hospital bed, clearly in pain.

Pawandeep’s Journey So Far

Pawandeep became a household name after winning Indian Idol 12 in 2021. Along with the trophy, he also won a car and ₹25 lakh in prize money. He competed in the finals against Arunita Kanjilal, Mohd Danish, Sayli Kamble, Nihal Tauro, and Shanmukha Priya. The season started on November 28, 2020, and ended on August 15, 2021.

Even before Indian Idol, Pawandeep had already shown his talent. In 2015, he won The Voice India while being part of singer Shaan’s team. He took home ₹50 lakh and a car from that show too.

Since then, Pawandeep has released several music albums, with many of his songs becoming popular hits. He has over 1.7 million followers on Instagram. Just recently, he celebrated his birthday on April 27, 2025.
