The Great Indian Kapil Show is returning to our screens on September 21. The first episode of Season 2 will feature the talented cast of the movie Jigra, including Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, as well as producer Karan Johar and director Vasan Bala. While chatting with the show’s host, Kapil Sharma, Alia shared some details about her personal life and revealed who predicted her marriage to Ranbir Kapoor.
In the promo, Kapil Sharma asked Alia, “Alia, when you decided to marry Ranbir, did you take any advice from Karan Johar, like as a friend or maybe like a father figure?”
Alia shared with a smile, “Let me tell you something about Karan. He has a sixth sense about these things. He told me, ‘I think they will be a couple.’ So, when Ranbir and I became friends…” At this point, Karan teased her by saying, “Friends, huh?”
Alia continued, “Karan told me clearly, ‘Alia, I think this is it.'” Karan Johar added, “I knew it. I knew when she started saying ‘friend,’ that this relationship would end in a wedding, and this would be the rest of her life.” Kapil responded with, “Wow.”

For those who didn’t know, Alia Bhatt married her longtime boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor, in 2022. The couple welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Raha, later that year.
Speaking of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie, Jigra is co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia’s own Eternal Sunshine Productions. The movie is set to release in theaters on October 11, 2024.
Meanwhile, Season 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Show will feature the original team: Kapil Sharma, Krushna Abhishek, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, and Archana Puran Singh.
