Why did Rajat Dalal call Karan Veer Mehra and Shilpa Shirodkar’s ‘mother-son bond’ fake?
Rajat Dalal, who became popular after appearing on Bigg Boss 18, is once again in the spotlight. This time, he has made bold comments about his former co-contestants Karan Veer Mehra and Shilpa Shirodkar. According to Rajat, their close bond during the show wasn’t real.
Recently, Rajat appeared on Faisal Shaikh’s podcast, where he spoke openly about his time on Bigg Boss 18 and the people he connected with. During the chat, Faisal (also known as Faisu) asked Rajat which bond from the show seemed fake to him. He gave him two names to choose from — Eisha Singh and Shilpa Shirodkar.
Rajat responded by saying that the friendship between Karan Veer Mehra and Shilpa Shirodkar was fake. He questioned their so-called “mother-son” relationship, saying,
“One is 45 and the other is 50 — how can they be like mother and son?”
Rajat explained that during the show, Karan and Shilpa acted as if they shared a close family-like bond, but he didn’t believe it was real.
On the other hand, Rajat spoke positively about his bond with Eisha Singh. He said their connection is genuine.
He shared,
“Eisha built real bonds — with Vivian, Avinash, and me. She’s even gone on a trip with Avinash and still stays in touch with me. That’s what a real friendship looks like.”
On Bigg Boss 18, Rajat was often seen with Eisha and even said he thinks of her as a younger sister.
As for his current work, Rajat Dalal is now part of the web show Battleground, where he stars alongside Asim Riaz, Rubina Dilaik, and Abhishek Malhan. The show is already creating buzz online due to its bold content and star-studded cast.
