After Aamir Khan, Rajpal Yadav Shares Honest Thoughts on Nepotism in Bollywood: ‘I couldn’t help even one person…’
The topic of nepotism in Bollywood is always being talked about, and now Rajpal Yadav has shared his opinion too. After Aamir Khan recently gave his take, Rajpal spoke openly in an interview and said he doesn’t believe nepotism truly controls the industry.
Rajpal Yadav Says There’s No Nepotism
In a chat with ANI, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor said he wanted to speak honestly. According to Rajpal, if nepotism really ruled Bollywood, then actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, and even Dharmendra wouldn’t have made it big.
He said he entered Bollywood purely because he wanted to, not because of anyone in his family. He added that he tells his own kids that no one can build someone else’s career — not in sports, and not in films either. It all depends on a person’s own hard work, nature, and talent.
“I Couldn’t Help Even One Relative”
Rajpal shared that he has 200 relatives, but despite being in the industry for 38 years, he hasn’t been able to help even one of them get a role in films.
“I couldn’t get even one person in. Blessings and hard work are personal. And in the end, it’s the audience who decides,” he said.
He admitted that someone might get a chance once, but success is never guaranteed. Whether someone does well depends on destiny, talent, and how the audience reacts, not on family ties or connections.
Aamir Khan’s Take on Nepotism
Earlier, in another interview with Raj Shamani, Aamir Khan also shared his views. He said he never interferes in his son Junaid Khan’s career and never plans to. He strongly believes that no one can shape someone else’s success in acting — everyone has to earn it on their own.
