Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy: BeerBiceps Explains Why He Appeared on Samay Raina’s Show; Ashish Chanchlani Also Questioned

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, better known as BeerBiceps, was recently questioned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in Navi Mumbai. The questioning, which lasted for about five hours on February 24, was related to his controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Along with him, popular content creator Ashish Chanchlani also appeared before the authorities.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s Statement on the Controversy

This was the first time Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani made a public appearance after the controversy erupted.

During the questioning, Ranveer admitted his mistake and clarified why he appeared on Samay Raina’s show. He explained that he participated only because of his friendship with Samay Raina and did not take any payment for the appearance. He also mentioned that YouTubers often collaborate as part of their professional relationships.

Questioning at Maharashtra Cyber Cell

The questioning took place at the Maharashtra Cyber Cell office in Navi Mumbai. Both Ranveer and Ashish were interrogated for nearly five hours.

After the session, Ranveer was seen leaving around 5 PM, wearing a black mask to hide his face from the media. He took a cab to avoid attention. Ashish Chanchlani left about an hour later in his car.

Earlier Summons and Samay Raina’s Absence

For those unaware, this was the third time the content creators were summoned. They had previously failed to appear before the authorities. Before them, Apoorva Mukhija had also recorded her statement regarding the case.

Meanwhile, Samay Raina is currently in the United States and Canada for his comedy tour. Due to this, he has requested an extension to appear before the court.

Supreme Court’s Decision on Ranveer Allahbadia

The Supreme Court of India has also addressed the matter. While it granted interim protection from arrest to Ranveer Allahbadia, it also criticized him strongly. The court called him someone with a “dirty and perverted mind” due to his remarks.

Additionally, the court has banned Ranveer from airing any more YouTube shows. He has also been ordered to submit his passport to the police and is not allowed to leave the country without prior permission.
