What Is the Controversy About?
This inquiry is part of an ongoing case involving several social media influencers linked to the India’s Got Latent controversy. The issue began after Ranveer Allahbadia made an inappropriate remark on the show, which led to public backlash.
Who Else Was Summoned?
In February, the NCW had called multiple influencers and content creators, including:
- Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps)
- Apoorva Mukhija
- Samay Raina
- Jaspreet Singh
- Ashish Chanchlani
- Tushar Poojari
- Saurabh Bothra
- Balraj Ghai
However, none of them showed up at the time. They cited personal safety concerns, prior commitments, and travel issues as reasons for their absence.
Ranveer and Apoorva’s Statements
Ranveer Allahbadia had earlier requested a three-week extension due to death threats. The NCW granted his request, and his hearing was rescheduled for March 6.
Apoorva Mukhija, on the other hand, had asked for permission to attend virtually due to security concerns. However, the NCW denied her request and told her to appear in person.
On March 6, both Ranveer and Apoorva finally recorded their statements before the NCW Chairperson and legal team. The exact details of their statements have not been made public yet.

- On March 5, Ranveer Allahbadia failed to appear before Assam Police. He did not provide any prior notice for skipping the summons.
- The show’s host, Samay Raina, has also not appeared for questioning by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. He has requested an extension, as he is currently on a tour in the U.S. and Canada.
