Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy: Did Harsh Gujral Delete Episodes of The Escape Room to Avoid Trouble?
With the ongoing controversy around India’s Got Latent, several comedians and content creators are facing backlash. Now, stand-up comedian Harsh Gujral has taken a major step to stay out of trouble—he has deleted all episodes of his show, The Escape Room, from YouTube.
Harsh Gujral Removes His Show from YouTube
Harsh Gujral has followed Samay Raina’s move and taken down his content. The Escape Room, which started on YouTube in December 2024, featured dark humor and explicit jokes. However, only two episodes had aired before Harsh decided to remove them, possibly to avoid controversy after the India’s Got Latent row.
What Was The Escape Room About?
The show had a unique format where participants could anonymously share their deepest and funniest confessions inside a “confession box.” Harsh Gujral, as the Escape Master, along with other comedians (called escape therapists), would add a humorous twist to the participants’ guilt and experiences.
The show gave audiences a chance to hear some of the strangest, weirdest, and darkest confessions, making it an interesting but controversial concept.
Harsh Gujral Takes Another Step on Instagram
After pulling the episodes from YouTube, Harsh also made a big change to the show’s Instagram account. Previously public, the @theescaperoomindia account is now set to private, restricting access to its 34.3K followers.
So far, Harsh Gujral has not commented on why he removed the episodes.
Background on the India’s Got Latent Controversy
For those unaware, the controversy began when the Maharashtra Cyber Department took strict action against India’s Got Latent. Authorities invoked IT Act sections and ordered the removal of all 18 episodes of the show hosted by Samay Raina. This has led many comedians, including Harsh Gujral, to take precautions with their own content.
