Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy: Maharashtra Cyber Cell Summons Rakhi Sawant for Statement on February 27
Actress Rakhi Sawant, who appeared as a panelist on India’s Got Latent, has been called by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell for questioning in connection with the ongoing controversy involving Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia.
Rakhi Sawant Summoned for Investigation
The controversy around India’s Got Latent is getting bigger. Now, Rakhi Sawant is also under investigation. She was a panelist on an episode of Samay Raina’s show, which also featured Ashish Solanki, Maheep Singh, Yashraj, and Balraj Ghai.
According to ANI, Maharashtra Cyber Cell has asked Rakhi Sawant to record her statement on February 27, 2025 as part of the investigation. Before this, YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahbadia were also summoned for questioning on February 24.
Samay Raina’s Request for Extension Denied
Maharashtra Cyber Cell IG Yashasvi Yadav confirmed that comedian Samay Raina had requested more time until March 17, but his request was denied. Now, he must appear before the Cyber Cell by March 10. Currently, he is on tour in the United States and Canada.
Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani Seek Legal Protection
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has given temporary protection from arrest to Ranveer Allahbadia (also known as BeerBiceps). The court criticized him for his controversial comments about watching parents have sx* but allowed him relief from immediate legal action.
On the other hand, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani has approached the Supreme Court, asking for legal protection in the obscenity case linked to the same controversy. As per PTI reports, he has requested the FIR against him in Guwahati to be either canceled or moved to Mumbai. His plea is set to be reviewed by a Supreme Court bench on February 21.
Many Celebrities Involved in the Controversy
The India’s Got Latent controversy now includes several well-known personalities. Some of the biggest names who appeared on the show’s panel include Bharti Singh, Haarsh Limbachiya, Tony Kakkar, Badshah, Vishal Dadlani, Raghu Ram, Farah Khan, and Uorfi Javed. The case continues to attract attention as more celebrities get linked to it.
