A fan named Shubham Dutta, who attended Samay’s show at the Myer Horowitz Theater in Edmonton, Canada, shared his emotional experience on Facebook. He titled his post “The Show Must Go On…”, explaining how deeply the moment affected him.
Dutta wrote, “I finally understood the true meaning of this phrase when I attended this man’s live show. I saw nearly 700 young people cheering for him, while he stood there with tears in his eyes before starting his set.”
He described how Samay Raina looked visibly stressed, wearing a dust-covered black hoodie, with dark circles and a tired face. The first thing Samay said into the mic was:

During the performance, an audience member tried to heckle Samay. In response, he made a sarcastic remark, referencing Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps.
🗣 “There will be many moments in this show where you might expect me to say something really funny. But just remember BeerBiceps at those times.”
