Himesh Reshammiya’s Father, Vipin Reshammiya, Passes Away; Celebrities Like Aman Verma Pay Their Respects
Music director Vipin Reshammiya, father of Himesh Reshammiya, passed away on the night of September 18, 2024, at the age of 87. He had been facing breathing problems and was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. His last rites were attended by several celebrities, who came to pay their respects.
Among the first to arrive was actor Aman Verma, who was seen talking with others present as they waited to honor Vipin Reshammiya. Television producer Sandiip Sikcand also came to offer his condolences.
A family friend, Vanita Thappar, shared, “Yes, he had breathing issues and was in the hospital. He passed away around 8:30 pm. I knew him closely and used to call him ‘Papa’ since the time he worked on TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed in his footsteps.”
The Reshammiya family released a statement saying, “With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Shri Vipin Reshammiya, on September 18, 2024. He was a kind soul who brought joy to everyone around him and leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and music.”
Vipin Reshammiya was known for composing music for projects such as Insaf Ki Jung and The Xposé (2014), where Himesh played the lead role, as well as Tera Surroor.
