The trailer launch of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming comedy Housefull 5 was a grand event with most of the cast present—except for Sanjay Dutt. While fans noticed his absence, we’ve now learned the reason: Sanjay Dutt was busy shooting for his upcoming film Dhurandhar, which also stars Ranveer Singh.
Caught on Camera: Sanjay Dutt Filming Dhurandhar
We’ve got an exclusive behind-the-scenes video from the Dhurandhar set in Mumbai. In the clip, Sanjay Dutt steps out of a car looking intense and serious. Wearing a white pathani kurta-pajama and holding a gun, he walks toward a building with a fierce look in his eyes. A police car and two officers can also be seen arriving at the scene. The vibe is full-on action and drama, and Dutt’s powerful screen presence is hard to miss.
About Dhurandhar
Pinkvilla was the first to report on Dhurandhar, a high-stakes thriller based on India’s intelligence agencies. Directed by URI: The Surgical Strike filmmaker Aditya Dhar, the movie stars Ranveer Singh as an Indian intelligence officer, while Sanjay Dutt plays the villain.
The film features a strong cast, including R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. It’s produced by Jio Studios’ Jyoti Deshpande along with Lokesh Dhar and Aditya Dhar under B62 Studios. Dhurandhar is being called one of the most ambitious spy thrillers in Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, Housefull 5 Gears Up for Release
While Sanjay Dutt missed the trailer launch of Housefull 5, he is still part of the movie’s large ensemble cast. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chunky Panday, and many others, including veteran actors like Ranjeet, Jackie Shroff, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, and Nana Patekar.
