Shark Tank India 4: Sharks Fight for a Solar App Deal – Find Out Who Wins!

The latest episode of Shark Tank India 4 featured a tough competition among the Sharks as they tried to secure a deal with a solar service provider app. Read on to find out which Shark finally won the deal!

A Unique Solar App Pitch

On the February 21 episode, two young engineering students presented their business idea—India’s first one-stop solar app, Solnce. The app helps users with solar requirements, price comparisons, and installation.

They asked for ₹1 crore in exchange for 1% equity. At first, the Sharks were doubtful, but as the pitch went on, they became more interested and even started competing to secure the deal!

Tough Questions from the Sharks

🔹 The entrepreneurs shared their background and how they started in 2019.
🔹 Aman Gupta asked them to demonstrate their app, which they did.
🔹 Anupam Mittal asked, “Do you serve consumers or distributors?”
🔹 Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal, and Aman Gupta questioned why people should trust their app over big companies like Tata and Adani.

Anupam also raised concerns about potential channel conflicts and asked them to explain their business model.

Sharks Make Their Offers

Despite their doubts, the Sharks were impressed with the company’s sales and growth potential. Vineeta Singh advised them to rethink their strategy but decided not to invest.

🔹 Kunal Bahl made the first offer—₹2 crore for 10% equity.
🔹 The pitchers said they wanted to hear from the other Sharks first.
🔹 Anupam Mittal offered ₹1 crore for 3% equity, with 1% royalty until ₹1 crore was recovered.
🔹 Peyush Bansal offered ₹1 crore for 5% equity after clearing his doubts.
🔹 Aman Gupta said they shouldn’t offer royalty or give up too much stake. He made a simple offer—₹1 crore for 3% equity.

Final Decision – Who Won?

The pitchers asked Aman to negotiate the equity, and Anupam Mittal quickly offered to lower his stake.

While the discussion continued, Aman said, “Who is Aman sir? I am. Here.” He then made a final offer:
👉 ₹1 crore for 2.5% equity.

The pitchers accepted Aman Gupta’s offer, making him the winner of the deal!
