EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman Talks About CID’s Guinness World Record Achievement
In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, actor Shivaji Satam, famous for playing ACP Pradyuman in the hit TV show CID, shared one of the biggest achievements in the show’s history. He spoke about a major milestone that CID reached back in 2004.
CID, which also stars Dayanand Shetty (as Daya) and Aditya Srivastava (as Abhijeet), is one of the most loved crime shows on Indian television. After a 6-year break, the show made a comeback in 2025, airing again on Sony TV and also available on Netflix. While fans love its gripping stories and unexpected twists, not many know that CID holds a Guinness World Record!
In the interview, the trio spoke about shooting a special episode titled “The Inheritance”, which lasted 111 minutes and was filmed in a single continuous shot — a rare and impressive achievement. Shivaji Satam proudly said,
“There were over 170 people present during the shoot. We all helped set this world record. As Indians, we feel proud to have done this.”

Shivaji Satam further shared how proud the entire team is of this moment. Dayanand Shetty gave credit to the director and cameraman, saying they made the impossible possible by shooting across four floors without a break. He called it the team’s biggest achievement.
In the same conversation, the three stars also shared some fun behind-the-scenes moments and even recalled dangerous stunts they performed, including some life-threatening experiences while filming action scenes.
For those who missed it, Pinkvilla was the first to report that CID would resume shooting in Mumbai from November 2024. The show originally went off air on October 27, 2018, after running successfully for 20 years on Sony TV, making it one of the longest-running shows in India.
Now, CID is back with fresh episodes that air every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM on Sony TV.
