CID: Dayanand Shetty Opens Up About ACP Pradyuman’s Exit from the Show
The popular crime show CID has been making headlines lately after it was revealed that Shivaji Satam, who played the iconic role of ACP Pradyuman, will no longer be part of the show. This news left many fans sad and surprised. The trio of ACP Pradyuman, Daya (Dayanand Shetty), and Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) has been loved for years.
Now, in a recent interview, Dayanand Shetty finally spoke about this major change and how the cast was not told about the decision in advance.

While speaking to TellyChakkar, Dayanand Shetty shared that no one from the team knew that ACP Pradyuman’s character would be removed.
He said,
“It was a creative decision taken by the channel and the production team. Honestly, it came as a shock to all of us.”
He added that Shivaji Satam is currently not shooting for CID as his role has ended. Shetty also said that the cast and crew miss him a lot on the sets, and they still don’t know why this decision was made.
“We haven’t been given any explanation, so we can’t say much more,” he added.

In the latest promo of CID, ACP Pradyuman is shown dying in a blast, which leaves the CID team heartbroken. The team is seen mourning his death and promises to take revenge on the villain Barboza.
🗣️ Shivaji Satam Reacts to His Track Ending
Speaking to Bombay Times, Shivaji Satam himself said that he has “no clue” about why his track ended. He shared that he is currently taking a break from the show and that only the makers know what’s going to happen next.
🔄 Who Is Joining CID Now?
Parth Samthaan has joined the cast of CID but he is not replacing ACP Pradyuman. Instead, he will play a new character named ACP Anshuman, a young officer. His role is expected to bring some tension and clashes with Daya and Abhijeet, adding more drama to the show.

The new season of CID returned on December 21, 2024.
It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM on Sony TV.
