Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi New Season: Gaurav Khanna or Sudhanshu Pandey—Which Anupamaa Actor Was Approached for the Smriti Irani Show?
The much-loved TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is all set to make a comeback. Fans are excited as shooting for the new season has already started. Produced by Ektaa Kapoor, the reboot will bring back Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay in their original lead roles. Interestingly, reports suggest that an actor from the hit show Anupamaa was approached to join the cast.
Was Sudhanshu Pandey Approached for Mihir Virani’s Role?
There were rumors that Sudhanshu Pandey, who played Vanraj Shah in Anupamaa, was being considered for the role of Mihir Virani in the new season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
In an interview with Screen, Sudhanshu confirmed that someone from Balaji Telefilms (Ektaa Kapoor’s production house) contacted him. However, he clarified that they didn’t tell him which role they were considering him for.
He said,
“I don’t know what it was for. I was only asked how much I would charge. That’s all—nothing more.”
Sudhanshu Pandey’s Journey So Far
Sudhanshu was widely praised for his role as Vanraj in Anupamaa. His performance earned him a lot of love from fans. But he suddenly left the show for reasons that were not made public. He later spoke about his exit during a live session on Instagram.
After leaving Anupamaa, he joined The Traitors, a show hosted by Karan Johar.
What to Expect from the New Season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
The new season will be a finite series, meaning it will have a set number of episodes—just 150. According to the producer, this is because the original show ended 150 episodes short of reaching the 2,000-episode mark.
Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay will return in lead roles. Reports also say Smriti Irani will have Z+ security during the show’s run. However, the premiere date has not been announced yet.
