Shah Rukh Khan, often seen as the epitome of perfection, is known for keeping his honor above everything else. Recently, on the Inside the Mind with Rushabh podcast, RJ J Man shared an interesting story from his visit to Shah Rukh’s residence, Mannat, where the superstar opened up about an incident from his early days in the film industry.
Shah Rukh Khan recounted how, early in his career, he made the mistake of asking a well-known director for a script, which the director found offensive. His mentor, Aziz Mishra, advised him that it was a misstep. Taking this advice to heart, Khan decided to call the director to apologize. However, when the director asked, “So, you’re doing my film?” Shah Rukh responded honestly, saying, “I called to apologize, but I’m still not doing your film.”
RJ J Man also shared his experience of arriving at Mannat. He described a building at the back of Mannat with a staircase leading to Shah Rukh’s study. The stairs were dark and wooden, with glass on one side, leading up to a dark brown door with a silver handle. Upon entering the room, RJ J Man was greeted by a display of Shah Rukh’s numerous awards showcased with pride.
