EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Surbhi Jyoti First Said No to Naagin 3 — You’ll Be Surprised Who Changed Her Mind!
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, TV star Surbhi Jyoti shared an interesting story. She revealed that she had actually rejected the offer to play the lead in Naagin 3 at first. But what changed her mind? It was her husband, Sumit Suri, who encouraged her to take the role.
Surbhi, known for hit shows like Qubool Hai and Naagin 3, talked about how both shows gave her different kinds of fans. Even though Naagin 3 became a massive hit, she wasn’t sure about doing it in the beginning.
She said, “I wasn’t confident. I felt like this kind of role wasn’t for me. I kept wondering, ‘How will I do this? How can I play such a character?’”
It was her husband Sumit who gave her a new perspective. Surbhi shared, “Sumit told me, ‘If you’re going to do something on TV, then why not do the number one show?’ And Naagin was number one at that time.”
She also talked about meeting the show’s producer, Ektaa Kapoor. Surbhi smiled as she remembered, “Ektaa ma’am tells stories so well! If she had asked me to play even a tiny insect, I would have said yes! That’s how convincing and powerful her narration is.”
Talking about Naagin 3, Surbhi said she eventually felt excited about the story. She added, “I thought to myself—if Superman can fly and Spiderman can make webs, then why can’t a shape-shifting snake be a superhero too? Why not have our own kind of superhero?”
She explained that even though Indian shows don’t always have big budgets like Hollywood films, the makers still did a great job with what they had. She proudly called Naagin the “number one franchise” and praised the story of the third season.
