Suriya45: Is the Title Teaser Releasing on June 20 for Director RJ Balaji’s Birthday?
Actor Suriya and director RJ Balaji are teaming up for the first time in a new film, currently called Suriya45. Now, fans are excited as reports suggest the title teaser might be released on June 20, 2025, which also happens to be RJ Balaji’s birthday.
This update has been shared by several sources, including popular movie watcher Amutha Bharathi. However, the filmmakers have not yet confirmed this news officially.
What We Know About Suriya45
The movie is said to be a commercial entertainer, with Suriya playing the role of a lawyer. Actress Trisha Krishnan will star opposite him. The music is composed by rising star Sai Abhyankkar.

Suriya’s Recent Release – Retro
Suriya was last seen in Retro, a romantic action movie that hit theatres on May 1, 2025. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the story follows Paari, a man raised to be violent by his foster father. But after falling in love with Rukmini, he wants to change his life. This leads to a major conflict with his father.

Could Retro Become a Web Series?
Interestingly, in a recent interview, director Karthik Subbaraj shared that he wanted to make Retro into a limited series with 4–5 episodes. However, he said the streaming platform wasn’t on board with that idea.
What’s Next for Suriya?
Besides Suriya45, the actor is also working on another film, Suriya46, directed by Venky Atluri (known for Lucky Baskhar). The female lead in this film will be Mamitha Baiju.
