Did You Know Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Babita Ji (Munmun Dutta) Worked with Shah Rukh Khan Before This Sitcom?
Munmun Dutta, who is well-known for playing Babita Ji in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently shared an interesting story about her past with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent vlog with Farah Khan, Munmun opened up about working with Shah Rukh before she joined the popular sitcom.
During the vlog, filmmaker Farah Khan visited Munmun’s home to enjoy some authentic Bengali food. As they chatted, Munmun reminded Farah that they had worked together in an ad film many years ago. Farah recalled it happening 15 to 20 years ago, before Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah began. Farah also mentioned that they filmed the ad in Film City, and Shah Rukh Khan was a part of it too.
Munmun revealed that there were three girls in the ad, and she was one of them. She said, “I’m very lucky, and we always feel blessed because Shah Rukh sir is very fond of us.”
Farah was surprised to hear that Munmun had worked with Shah Rukh Khan. Munmun went on to talk about how she admires Shah Rukh, saying that even though she’s worked with many actors, no one is like him. She added, “He has been my childhood crush.”
Farah teased her for calling him a “childhood crush,” but Munmun quickly corrected herself, saying Shah Rukh Khan is her “eternal crush.” The two enjoyed their conversation, while also savoring the delicious Bengali food Munmun had prepared.
Munmun Dutta continues to play Babita Ji in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, one of the longest-running shows on Indian television. The show also stars Dilip Joshi, Amit Bhatt, Mandar Chandwadkar, and more.
