His Early Struggles
During the interview, Terence talked about the difficulties he faced at the start of his career. He recalled how he began teaching dance just to earn money, but soon, he realized that dance was his true passion. He also shared how his parents told him they couldn’t support him financially, which meant he had to manage everything on his own.
“I was scared, wondering what would happen. Would I succeed or not?” he admitted.
The Dance India Dance judge also mentioned that people used to taunt him, which made him even more determined to prove himself. He remembered a tough moment when his father was humiliated because their house was broken. This incident pushed him to work even harder and make a name for himself.
The Promise to His Father
Terence recalled an emotional memory, saying, “I saw my father pleading with others. He was a proud man, and I told myself that I would never let this happen again. I would work hard, never complain, and do whatever it takes to succeed.”
He added that these struggles kept him awake at night, but instead of breaking him, they fueled his ambition.
No Regrets About His Sacrifices
Terence revealed that he never really got to enjoy his youth. While others watched movies or traveled, he only focused on work. But he has no regrets.
“My parents were poor, but they had strong values,” he said. He explained that his mother and father always taught him the importance of values over money.
