Actor Rohit Basfor from The Family Man Season 3 Found Dead in Guwahati — Here’s What Happened

Actor Rohit Basfor, who was set to appear in the upcoming web series The Family Man Season 3 alongside Manoj Bajpayee, has tragically passed away. His body was found near a waterfall in the Garbhanga forest in Guwahati, Assam, on the evening of Sunday, April 27. Officials reported that his body had several injury marks.
According to a report by Odisha Bytes, Rohit had moved back to Guwahati from Mumbai a few months ago. His family said he left home around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday to go on an outing with friends. Later that day, they were unable to reach him.
A friend later informed the family about what had happened. The family then contacted the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), who recovered Rohit’s body and took it to the hospital.
The family believes Rohit was murdered and has accused four of his friends. They claim it was a planned attack. They also mentioned that Rohit was recently involved in an argument over parking, during which some of the same people had reportedly threatened to kill him. The names mentioned in the complaint include Ranjit Basfor, Ashok Basfor, Dharam Basfor, and a gym owner named Amardeep, who had apparently invited Rohit on the outing.
Police officials confirmed that an autopsy was done at Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Monday. The report showed multiple injuries on Rohit’s head, face, and body. “We are investigating the case. The four accused are currently missing,” a police officer told Odisha Bytes.
Meanwhile, The Family Man Season 3 is expected to release after the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) ends, which is scheduled to finish by May 25. According to FilmiBeat, there is also talk that the series could be released around Diwali 2025, based on the show’s past release patterns.
