Throwback: Amitabh Bachchan Convinces Fawad Khan to Sing on KBC

When Amitabh Bachchan Made Sure Fawad Khan Sang on Kaun Banega Crorepati: A Throwback Moment

Let’s look back at the time when Fawad Khan sang on Kaun Banega Crorepati in front of Amitabh Bachchan.

Fawad Khan is a popular name not just in Pakistan but also in India. Did you know that he once appeared on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati and sang in front of Amitabh Bachchan? Today, let’s revisit that special moment.

Fawad Khan came to Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, to promote his movie Khoobsurat. Many people didn’t know that he’s a talented singer too. When Amitabh Bachchan asked him to sing, Fawad said, “I am such a huge fan of yours, Mr. Bachchan.” He then apologized if his singing wasn’t perfect but went on to sing a beautiful version of Amitabh’s famous song “Dilbar.”

Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan created quite a buzz on the sets of the show. Amitabh had worked with Sonam before when she was an assistant director for his movie Black, which starred Rani Mukerji. He even complimented her, saying she looked fit and healthy.

For Fawad Khan fans in India, there’s some exciting news! The first Pakistani movie is set to be shown on big screens in India. The film is called The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. This action-packed movie was supposed to release in 2022. The makers shared a poster announcing that it will now release in India on October 2, 2024. They wrote, “Two years on, The Legend of Maula Jatt is still unstoppable. Watch the epic story on the big screen in India from 2nd October 2024. Cinema listings will be shared soon.”

The movie is directed by Bilal Lashari and features Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malik, and Saima Baloch in important roles. The story is about a fight between a gang leader named Noori Natt (played by Hamza Ali Abbasi) and a hero named Maula Jatt (played by Fawad Khan).

In July, Fawad shared in an interview with PTI, “I have always been grateful to my fans who waited for me, and I’m sorry for making them wait so long. But it wasn’t in my hands. I believe that everything happens at the right time… There’s a saying, ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder,’ but there’s also another saying, ‘out of sight, out of mind.’ Both can be true.”
