EXCLUSIVE: Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor Team Up for New Film Lag Jaa Gale with Raj Mehta and Karan Johar
Director Raj Mehta, known for Good Newwz and Jug Jugg Jeeyo, is teaming up again with producer Karan Johar for an exciting new project. The film is titled Lag Jaa Gale, and it will bring Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor together on screen for the very first time.
A Mix of Action, Love, and Revenge
According to a source, the movie is a revenge-based action film with a strong love story at its heart. Raj Mehta had been working on the script for some time and wanted a fresh on-screen pairing. After narrating the story to both Tiger and Janhvi, they quickly agreed to be part of the project.
“The team considered many titles, but felt Lag Jaa Gale perfectly fits the film’s story. It’s a full-on action movie, but with emotional depth thanks to the love story in the background,” the source said.
Big Plans for Action Sequences
Filming for Lag Jaa Gale is expected to begin in late 2025. The team is planning some high-octane action scenes featuring Tiger Shroff, who is known for his stunts and athleticism.
The tentative schedule starts around October 2025, after Tiger finishes promoting Baaghi 4, and Janhvi wraps up work on her film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsikumari.
What’s Next for Karan Johar
Producer Karan Johar has had a busy year. He recently attended the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Homebound, a film by Neeraj Ghaywan starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor. Karan also has other upcoming projects like Dhadak 2 and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsikumari, both set for release in 2025.
When Will Lag Jaa Gale Release?
Directed by Raj Mehta, Lag Jaa Gale is scheduled to hit theaters in the second half of 2026.
