Dr. Manmohan Singh, India’s former Prime Minister, passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 92 due to age-related health conditions. He had been receiving treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from TV personalities.
Shalin Bhanot, who was recently a contestant on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, shared a photo of Dr. Singh on his Instagram story with a simple message: “RIP.”
Sumona Chakravarti, known for her role on The Kapil Sharma Show, also expressed her grief on social media. She shared that history would always be kind to Dr. Singh and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
Kapil Sharma, a renowned comedian and actor, paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Singh, calling him the architect of India’s economic reforms. He praised the former PM as a symbol of integrity and humility, highlighting that India lost one of its finest leaders. Kapil described Dr. Singh as a man whose wisdom, dedication, and vision helped transform India, leaving behind a legacy of progress and hope. He wrote, “Rest in peace, Dr. Singh. Your contributions will never be forgotten.”
Muskan Bamne, known for her role in Anupamaa and her appearance on Bigg Boss 18, also expressed her sadness at the loss of Dr. Singh.
Dr. Manmohan Singh served as India’s Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. He was widely regarded as the architect of important economic reforms that changed the country’s economic landscape. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was India’s Finance Minister, where he laid the groundwork for many policies that shaped his tenure as the leader.
