On May 27, actress Dipika Kakar shared a heartbreaking health update with her fans. Earlier, her husband Shoaib Ibrahim had revealed that doctors found a tennis ball-sized tumor in her liver. Later, Dipika confirmed through social media that the tumor is cancerous, and she has been diagnosed with Stage 2 liver cancer.
As soon as she shared the news, many celebrities from the TV industry came forward to send her love, prayers, and good wishes. Stars like Jayati Bhatia, Gaurav Khanna, Shraddha Arya, and Gauahar Khan commented on her post, expressing their concern and wishing her a quick recovery.

Dipika posted a note on her Instagram page to update her fans about her health. She wrote that after getting a few tests done, doctors confirmed that the tumor in her liver is cancerous.

Dipika & Shoaib Share More Details in a Vlog
Later, Dipika and Shoaib uploaded a vlog on YouTube to explain more about her condition. They said that the cancer is only in her liver and hasn’t spread to any other part of her body.
They also talked about how they discovered the tumor. Dipika had been having severe stomach pain, which led them to do some medical tests. At first, doctors found that she had a gallbladder stone, which caused the pain. During her sonography and further tests, they discovered the tumor.
Health Update and Surgery Plans
Shoaib mentioned that doctors are waiting for Dipika to get stronger before doing the surgery to remove the tumor. She recently had a high fever of 103.9°F and was admitted to the hospital. On May 23, Shoaib informed everyone that Dipika had been discharged, and her fever was under control. But she still needs time to recover completely before the surgery can be done.
Dipika’s Last Appearance on TV
Dipika was last seen on the reality cooking show Celebrity MasterChef. Unfortunately, she had to leave the show midway due to a hand injury.
