Uorfi Javed Recalls Meeting Javed Akhtar at the Airport; Shares His Funny Reaction to Her Jokes About Farhan and Zoya Akhtar
Uorfi Javed, known for her bold and unique fashion choices, recently shared a sweet memory on social media. She posted an unseen picture with famous writer Javed Akhtar and talked about how he reacted to her jokes when they met at the airport.
On Instagram, Uorfi praised Javed Akhtar, saying, “Lately, I’ve been really interested in Javed sir. His intelligence and way of thinking amaze me. He always has a unique view on things and isn’t afraid to speak his mind. That’s a quality I really admire and wish I had.”
She then shared the story of their encounter, saying, “I bumped into Javed sir at the airport about a year ago. He recognized me and asked me to sit next to him. I joked that people think he’s my grandfather. I thought I might have offended him, but he actually found it funny and laughed. We had a nice 20-minute chat, and he was really interested in what I had to say.”
In her caption, Uorfi also revealed that Javed Akhtar had invited her to dinner, though it didn’t happen. Still, the conversation left a strong impression on her. She joked that his children, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar, might feel “threatened” by her because she could be another contender for their father’s will. Javed Akhtar took it all in good humor, laughing at her remark.
Uorfi ended her post by saying, “It’s rare to meet people who truly leave a mark on you and make you think about different aspects of life.”
She also mentioned watching a documentary about Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan, calling them “different but unique personalities.”
