Who is Nikita Luther? Meet The Traitors Contestant Who Was Eliminated in the First Episode But Came Back as a Wild Card

The Traitors has just begun, and it’s already full of drama! One contestant who grabbed attention right from the start is Nikita Luther. She was shockingly voted out by fellow contestant Elnaaz Norouzi in the very first episode—before the game even properly began. But the twist? Nikita made a comeback in the third episode as a wild card contestant. So, who is Nikita Luther?

Who is Nikita Luther?

Nikita Luther is a well-known professional poker player from Delhi. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Delhi. Her studies gave her strong analytical skills, which later helped her succeed in poker.

Her journey with poker began casually. At first, she played for fun on Zynga, a U.S.-based online platform. But everything changed in 2015 at a friend’s birthday party, where she played real poker for the first time—and loved it.

Nikita soon turned her hobby into a career. In 2017, she and fellow poker player Raghav Bansal won a team event at the Macau Poker Cup. This made her the first Indian woman to win a poker title at an international level, a major milestone in her career.

So far, Nikita has reportedly won over $440,000 in live tournament earnings. She’s competed and won at several big international events, bringing pride to India in the poker world.

More Than Just a Poker Player

Nikita also made history by becoming the first female professional poker player from India to give a TEDx talk. She’s active on social media, with more than 34,500 followers on Instagram, where she shares moments from her life and poker journey.

Her appearance on The Traitors isn’t just exciting for fans of reality TV—it also puts the spotlight on poker in India, especially for women. Through her presence on the show, she’s helping to change how people, especially Indian women, see poker—as a game of skill and strategy, not just luck.
