Rubina Dilaik’s Decision to Raise Daughters Jeeva and Edhaa in Himachal Pradesh Is Great Advice for New Mothers
Rubina Dilaik and her husband, Abhinav Shukla, have made a special choice to raise their twin daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa, in the peaceful surroundings of Himachal Pradesh, instead of the busy city of Mumbai. In a recent podcast, Rubina shared why they chose this lifestyle for their family.
Rubina and Abhinav became parents in November 2023, when they welcomed their twin daughters. Rubina explained that when planning their family, they thought carefully about the environment in which their children would grow up. They wanted their daughters to have a simple and humble upbringing, connected to nature and rural life.
Rubina said, “We want to give them a clean environment. They should play in the soil and grow up in a simple background. We want them to stay connected to the village and eat food grown from our own farms.”
Rubina also shared that their farmhouse in Himachal Pradesh includes orchards, farms, and fields. After their daughters’ vaccinations were complete, the couple decided to move them there. At their farmhouse, the family lives in a joint-family setup, with many family members around.
Though they spend most of their time in Himachal, Rubina and Abhinav had to bring the girls to Mumbai temporarily due to heavy snowfall in their hometown.
