Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Written Update, January 11: Vidya Sent to Jail; Will Abhira Regret Fighting for Abhir?
In today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the story takes a dramatic turn as Vidya is sent to prison after being found guilty of causing Abhir’s accident.
Vidya’s Arrest Shocks Everyone
The episode begins with the judge announcing Vidya’s punishment. Overwhelmed, she breaks down as the police take her away. Outside the court, a large crowd has gathered, creating chaos. As Vidya steps out, she faints from the pressure. Armaan, visibly distressed, insists that Vidya must be taken to the hospital.
Abhira, calling Vidya “Maa,” rushes to her side with water, but Armaan lashes out at her, blaming her for everything. The police assure them that Vidya can receive treatment in jail, but Madhav angrily tells them not to lecture him about the law.
Family Reactions
Back at the Poddar house, the family brings Vidya home and calls a doctor. Meanwhile, at the Goenka household, Abhir surprises Abhira with a heartfelt song, expressing his love and trust in her. He thanks her for fulfilling her role as a mother and restoring his faith in the family. Manish, Swarna, and Surekha are emotional seeing the bond between the siblings.
Abhira, determined, declares that she has fulfilled her duties as an elder sister and will now focus on her responsibilities as a wife and daughter-in-law. This leaves everyone shocked and confused.
Vidya’s Final Moments at Home
Vidya regains consciousness and notices the female police officers waiting to take her away. Kaveri urges the family to use their connections to bail Vidya out, but no one agrees to help. Manoj reminds them that Sanjay shouldn’t have falsified reports against Abhir.
Vidya, accepting her fate, removes her jewelry and hugs her family. Armaan, however, refuses to embrace her, still consumed by guilt and anger. As Vidya is led away by the police, a crowd outside the Poddar house begins to shame the family.
A Tense Farewell
When stones are thrown at Vidya, Armaan steps in to shield her, catching one with his bare hands. Abhira defends Vidya by confronting the person throwing stones. Despite the chaos, Vidya is taken away in the police jeep, with Armaan running behind the car in despair. Abhira tries to comfort him, but Swarna pulls her away.
A Celebration Amid Chaos
At the Poddar house, Surekha organizes a veneration to celebrate their legal victory. Abhir declares it a win for both him and Abhira, applying tika on her forehead. Just then, Armaan arrives on his bike, his face filled with anger and pain. Abhira instinctively stands in front of Abhir to protect him. The episode ends on this tense note.
