RJ Mahvash Reacts to Apoorva Mukhija’s Comment in India’s Got Latent Controversy
India’s Got Latent recently got into a major controversy that sparked outrage across the country. Many well-known people criticized the show’s panelists, including social media creators like Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija. Apoorva was especially targeted for her comment about the vagina during the episode. Now, RJ Mahvash, who is rumored to be cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s girlfriend, has come forward in support of Apoorva.
RJ Mahvash Speaks Up
In a conversation with Yuvaa, RJ Mahvash shared her views on the controversy. She said she was upset that people were targeting Apoorva for her reaction but ignored the contestant, who actually started the whole thing with a vulgar question.
She explained,
“In 2018, a rape case was reported every 15 minutes. In 2022, there were 31,000 rape cases. But people are only talking about Samay Raina’s abuses. Why didn’t everyone come together and raise their voices about those serious crimes? Maybe things would be better.”
She Points Out the Real Problem
RJ Mahvash also strongly criticized the contestant who made an inappropriate comment during the show. She said,
“The guy started it. He said, ‘You don’t have sensation in your vagina?’ But no one is blaming him. Nothing happened to him. But when Apoorva responded, everyone got angry. Were there not abuses in earlier episodes? There were.”
She also highlighted how gender bias is involved, saying people are only angry because a woman spoke up.
“A girl replied, and now it’s a big issue. People are saying, ‘How can a girl speak like that? How can she abuse?’ Suddenly, it becomes a big cultural problem.”
Abuse Is Abuse – Gender Doesn’t Matter
RJ Mahvash said that abusing is wrong, no matter who does it — male or female. There should be equal rules for everyone.
What Happened in the Show?
Apoorva Mukhija was criticized for talking about vaginas during the episode. But the biggest backlash came after Ranveer Allahbadia asked a disturbing question:
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or join in once to make it stop forever?”
This shocking question led to FIRs against the panelists. Due to the heavy criticism and public anger, India’s Got Latent episodes were removed from YouTube.
The controversy has opened up a larger conversation about gender bias, content responsibility, and freedom of speech on public platforms.
