Ranveer Allahbadia Case: BeerBiceps Appears Before Guwahati Police for Questioning
Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, appeared before the Crime Branch of Guwahati Police Commissionerate today (March 7) for questioning. This comes after YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani was also questioned in the same case earlier.
Why Is Ranveer Allahbadia Being Questioned?
Ranveer is under investigation for his controversial remarks on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. The case has been making headlines, and many people connected to the show are also being questioned.
News agency ANI reported that Ranveer was seen at the Guwahati Police Crime Branch office on Thursday. Earlier, on February 27, Ashish Chanchlani was also summoned and questioned in the same case.
Police Investigation and Summons
On March 5, Ranveer failed to appear before the Assam Police despite being summoned. According to reports, neither he nor his lawyer informed the authorities about his absence.
Last week, Ashish Chanchlani attended his questioning and was interrogated for several hours. He cooperated with the police, and Joint Police Commissioner Ankur Jain stated, “He has complied with our inquiry. We will summon him again if needed, but there are no immediate plans to do so.”
Legal Actions and Bail Requests
Chanchlani has requested that the FIR registered in Guwahati be transferred to Mumbai, as another FIR was filed first in Maharashtra. The Guwahati High Court granted him temporary relief on February 18, instructing him to appear before the investigating officer within 10 days.
Ranveer Allahbadia Appears Before NCW
On March 6, both Ranveer Allahbadia and YouTuber Apoorva Mukhija appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) to record their statements.
Authorities have not yet disclosed full details about the case, but the investigation is ongoing.
