Bazooka: Mammootty Shares Heartfelt Message Before Release of His Next Film With Debut Director Deeno Dennis
Superstar Mammootty is all set to return to the big screen with his upcoming action-thriller Bazooka, releasing on April 10, 2025. Ahead of the release, he posted a heartfelt message on social media, talking about his experience working with first-time director Deeno Dennis.
In his message, Mammootty wrote,
“Dear ones, once again, I am working with a new director—Deeno Dennis. The film, which he also wrote, will be released in theaters on April 10 (tomorrow).”
He continued by saying that the movie is based on a game-themed story and felt very fresh from the moment he first heard it.
“I liked it right from the beginning, and now it’s your turn to like it too,” he said warmly.
He also added,
“As I always say, every new director brings something new to the table,” ending his note with gratitude and love.
What is Bazooka About?
Bazooka is an action thriller where Mammootty plays the lead role. The story revolves around a businessman who teams up with a police officer to track down a dangerous serial killer. Together, they use clever, game-like strategies to catch the criminal.
Apart from Mammootty, the movie also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon in a key role. The cast includes Babu Antony, Neeta Pillai, Gayathiri Iyer, Divya Pillai, Jagadish, Sidharth Bharathan, Iswarya Menon, and Shine Tom Chacko, among others.
The film is directed by Deeno Dennis, marking his directorial debut. Saeed Abbas has composed the music, while Nimish Ravi and Roby Varghese Raj are the cinematographers. Editing is done by Nishadh Yusuf and Praveen Prabhakar.
Mammootty’s Recent and Upcoming Projects
Before Bazooka, Mammootty was last seen in Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse, a mystery-comedy thriller directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. In that film, he played a former police officer who now runs a private detective agency.
The movie also featured Gokul Suresh, Sushmitha Bhat, Viji Venkatesh, and others in important roles.
Looking ahead, Mammootty will next be seen in Kalamkaval and a film currently titled MMMN.
