In his statement, Ashneer wrote, “I hope you enjoyed the Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar! I had a lot of fun, and I’m sure the episode got great TRP and viewership. By the way, all my statements below are TRUE: Salman is a fantastic host and actor. He knows what works on Bigg Boss. I’ve always admired Salman for his confidence and business acumen—I’ve never said anything disrespectful about him.”
About the Deal
Addressing the controversy, Ashneer explained, “My deal numbers are always correct (verified by the bank and auditors). I met Salman for an exclusive meeting about a brand collaboration in May 2019 at JW Marriott Juhu. We discussed the deal for three hours along with the ad director. It’s okay if he doesn’t remember me—I wasn’t a public figure back then, and he meets a lot of people.”

In 2019, a video of Ashneer Grover went viral in which he claimed that he had tried to hire Salman Khan as a brand ambassador for his company. According to Ashneer, Salman’s team initially demanded ₹7.5 crores, but he negotiated it down to ₹4.5 crores. This revelation sparked mixed reactions online and became a hot topic.
When Ashneer appeared on Bigg Boss 18, Salman addressed the claims, accusing him of false statements and questioning his attitude. Salman even said he didn’t know Ashneer until now and criticized him for his “doglapan.”
