“Pahuchao baat upar tak”: Why Did Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai‘s Jay Soni Say This? (HINT: It’s About Harshad Chopda)
Jay Soni, a well-known name in Indian television, recently opened up about the possibility of reuniting with his former Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-stars, Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod. Jay played the much-loved role of Abhinav Sharma in the show.
In a fun chat with TellyMasala, Jay was asked whether fans could expect a reunion of the show’s former cast. Laughing, Jay replied,
“I honestly don’t know right now. But if it happens, why not? There’s no harm in it. Pahuchao baat upar tak! (Send the message to the higher-ups!) If it’s happening, we’ll definitely be a part of it.”
For those who don’t know, Jay was a part of the third season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He entered the show after a short time jump, playing Akshara’s (Pranali Rathod) husband, Abhinav, during a phase when she was living away from Abhimanyu (played by Harshad Chopda).
Jay’s role ended when his character, Abhinav, died in the storyline. Around the same time, Harshad Chopda’s journey in the show also came to an end.
The current (fourth) season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai features a new cast including Samridhii Shukla, Rohit Purohit, and Garvita Sadhwani in lead roles.
Apart from Yeh Rishta, Jay Soni has worked in many popular TV shows like Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, Sasural Genda Phool, and Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari, and continues to be loved for his versatile performances.
